American record-holder/jungle artist...Dominique Arnold, American record-holder in the high hurdles (12.90) and runner-up in this year's national championships in Indianapolis was the 1993 state California Community College  high hurdle champion while competing for Long Beach City College. He went on to win the NCAA title in the event as a Washington State Cougar.
Away from the track, Dominique is a serious artist who prefers to draw cartoons and paint what he refers to as 'jungle art,' drawing before each of his races.

    Dead or Alive?…  Ruth Wysocki, the former US Olympic 1500 meter runner and two-time state champion at Citrus College (coached by Vince O'Boyle), reflected on her relationship with the Brooks footwear company:  “In 1984 my shoe sponsor said it would take care of me for life. I guess I died in 1988.”
